Welcome to my website

Welcome! My name is Ryan Oliver.  I am currently a Post-doctoral associate in Professor Sofia Merajver’s (Breast Cancer Research Program) and Professor Shuichi Takayama’s lab (The Micro/Nano/Molecular Biotechnology Lab) at the University of Michigan.  I recently finished a postodoctoral stint in Professor Hart’s Mechanosynthesis Group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.   I study the interplay between design, manufacturing and biology.  My research is focused on additive manufacturing in biology using a combination of bottom up nano- and micro- manufacturing methods and top down additive manufacturing methods.   My work in these areas are meant to advance applications in rapid tissue engineering, cancer models and assays and bio-integrated electronics.  Check out my publications to appreciate the impact of this work.. Thank you, and don’t hesitate to contact me.
