Welcome to my website
Welcome! My name is Ryan Oliver. I am currently a Post-doctoral associate in Professor Sofia Merajver’s (Breast Cancer Research Program) and Professor Shuichi Takayama’s lab (The Micro/Nano/Molecular Biotechnology Lab) at the University of Michigan. I recently finished a postodoctoral stint in Professor Hart’s Mechanosynthesis Group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I spend a lot of time thinking about the world we live in and how to engineer a better one through creative research in the areas of nano/micro manufacturing. I aim to identify natural phenomenon at the micro and nano scale that provide insights into how we can harness the tools used by nature to create the unlikely and beautiful universe we live in. My current research is focused on the intersection between advanced lithographic tools, laboratory automation, algorithmic assembly of micro-particles and bio-engineering. My work in these areas is meant to advance applications in rapid tissue engineering, protein engineering, model organism assays, custom surgery and bio-integrated electronics. Check out my publications to appreciate the impact of this work.. Thank you, and don’t hesitate to contact me.
